NGC 6334 Cat's Paw

NGC 6334 Cat's Paw

NGC6334 is a star-forming region in the direction of the center of our galaxy. It is known as the Cats Paw Nebula because of the three distinct patches of nebulosity, in a shape much like the pads on the paw of a cat. The nebula is darkened greatly by intervening dust in the plane of the Milky Way galaxy.
